Surprised or irritated by 60 Minutes apology, or lack thereof? I guess we really shouldn't be. I was hoping that at least one network would just present the news without any "agenda" but I guess I was wrong. The days of straight journalist reporting are gone forever.
Ms. Logan is now known for her conservative leanings, if she wasn't before: Logan spoke out against the notion of prosecuting former President George W. Bush for war crimes even though it is clear that his administration lied the United States into an illegal war in Iraq that has led to hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths….
Lara Logan, while on the Charlie Rose show, even went as far as to say that the US military should punish ordinary Afghans if they are seen to be tolerating the Taliban in order to impose a cost upon those Afghans who are not fully cooperating with the American occupiers. Lara Logan condemned the journalist Michael Hastings after his controversial interview with disgraced General Stanley McChrystal was published in the Rolling Stone magazine. Unlike Logan, Hastings is a real journalist who reports the truth even if it makes powerful people look bad. http://www.examiner.com/article/don-t-cry-for-lara-logan and http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/10/09/lara-logan-s-war-cry.html
This is the president of CBS News since 2011:
