There is Something Rotten in Denmark

or is that Boston, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, DC, and many other cities this week. Black Lives Matter has exposed to the world (this time we have the videos) that not many lives matter, really. This is not new to us. Power and control over these lives, or the loss thereof, is much more important than listening to what other viewpoints are. A war is much more honorable than a compromise, definitely more manly. Turning the other cheek: what a concept. Walking in another man's shoes is for losers!

Thus it follows that 57 members of a Boston police force applaud in support as two officers leave the courthouse when charges are brought against them for shoving a 75-year old man to the concrete...and we saw it on video. The all those men quit the force in protest. Uh...OK.

In Philadelphia a police department commander is caught beating a young lady with his metal baton like a mad man. If he'd been black, he would have been shot on the spot. All of this happening across the country as decades of indiscriminate brutality finally came to ahead with the death (murder) of George Floyd..robbed of his "freedom to breathe" by a cop who put a knee to his neck for almost 9 minutes...and never broke a sweat or pulled his hands out of his pockets. (Got those cellphone videos again.)

But surely those in charge of running this country, maybe President Trump, those elected to "serve and protect the Constitution" and the rights and responsibilities contained therein are formulating a measured response to all this madness and chaos! Nope: employ tear gas, pepper bombs, flash bangs, rubber bullets (which are metal bullets covered in rubber, by the way) and hold up a Bible in front of church. Then for good measure construct a bigger metal fence around the barriers already there.

Folks, we are in some deep do-do.

Just an aside here: somebody please explain to Trump and Barr what Antifa means ((although I'm sure they already do but it's better just to spew it our there). It's short for antifascist: someone who is against a totalitarian type of government. Who fought against fascism? Everybody on the same side as the Americans in World War II.

Let's Try This...

"Maybe lots of people support lots of things, and we can't twist that generalized support into blame for maniacs who decide to take up arms for their own demented reasons. Maybe that's a better idea after all."

I am sick and tired of the yelling, blaming, pointing fingers, lying, surmising, generalizing, name calling, racism, back-turning for spite, photo-opting, attention getting, ratings reaching, knee jerk reacting…and general spittle producing rhetoric that is rampant in today's society and media after the last few weeks. GET OVER YOURSELVES.

Yes, there is a problem with some cops in some areas…and the militarization of such people. Yes, there are some people that are just bad and given any opportunity will show their disdain, and even hatred, for those not like themselves. Yes, there are some folks….black and white…that do NOT think the law applies to them. But NOT everybody. And every police officer is NOT a saint. Remember that, Lynch, Kelly and Giuliani: Police acting like spoiled kids is disgusting to most of us, just like those in Congress.

You might want to check out:

Todays' technology has certainly provided a window into what for years has been
hidden….and as such, has brought what has been hidden and distasteful to the forefront where it needs to be addressed…NOT USED AS ATTACKS.

For decades media such as FOX, Breitbart, Limbaugh, NRO, and The Blaze have goaded and prodded in their own sly way the behavior we see now…and each time they look at the damage and say "what, me??"
This circle has to break….now.

But I am not holding my breath……

Gotta watch all those guilty looking black thugs out there…you KNOW they are up to something…"THEY" always are:

WHY??

Am I missing something here? Is the Ferguson police department that incompetent? Is the police chief there just interning for his job? Did this group of military-wanna-be's  have all this equipment they have just been dying to play with? Do they all really hate the black community that much? Were they just hoping that some sort of riot would be provoked, so that they would finally have an excuse to "go to war?"

From Day One the whole Michael Brown incident was mishandled….by everyone  All the information that the police had was NOT made public: this was largely why the protests over the shooting grew into the mess it was. Keeping the body in full view was distasteful also. I believe the two witnesses saw what they saw……but again, that may only been one part of it. I don't know: I wasn't there. But if there were videos of the theft in the convenience store, the community needed to know that. That did NOT excuse shooting a kid multiple times while he was walking away…but I do believe these folks would have liked to have complete picture of the allegations, and the "proof." They are not stupid "animals" as was shouted by the cops, and captured on video. And most of the activists and protesters were not looting and acting badly…they condemned those that were. It did not help their cause.

The police department, and their "reinforcements" only added to the mystery and the bad feelings spreading through the crowds. The police department was only interested in protecting their own. I STILL believe that if the cop had nothing to hide, or be ashamed of, or if his version of the happenings were honest…it would NOT have taken six days to come to a head. Journalists just doing their job of informing the country of what was happening did not have to be arrested, their equipment damaged and their lives threatened. First amendment, remember…..the factions on the Right here demand it. (Where were those voices, by the way??) Clearing the air space in the area? Something is wrong somewhere. The people who were protesting were truly acting on the information they were given by the police and the head of the department. They were protesting the treatment received over the years…in this "post racial society." ( http://tinyurl.com/qjpgmq4 )

If a crime was committed by the teenager, that is one thing. There should have been appropriate punishment for that. http://tinyurl.com/ksdrtz3 ) Murder…no. If these police were derelict in their duty by not informing the public of their findings; conspiring to hide the identity of the shooter; not supplying all relative information and updates; over- militarizing the operation using taxpayer money and surplus equipment with untrained personnel; fanning the flames of mistrust, hatred and racial tension by their passive/aggressive actions…then the whole department needs to be dismantled and retrained. If there is that large a racist vein in this group Ferguson is in a world of hurt…but then, so is the rest of the country.
