Religious Right "Not Taking It Anymore…."

so they are forging their way into battles all over the world.

A new State Department study documents how these fundamentalists…sometimes right, sometimes not……are spreading their fight against what they term "descrimination against religious beliefs" in countries such as Russia, Uganda and Ukraine for example. And they are receiving help from our own homegrown groups such as the Human Dignity Institute.

Let me get this straight: we are jumping into conflicts NOT concerning us, to help these poor folks fend off the forced occupation of some other groups using military force to spread their concept of religious-based law. Yet at the same time people from this country are spreading the very same thing. Not content with pushing the Christian "victim card" on Americans, they are helping to push their hate elsewhere. 

Most Americans deplore these "religious" concepts in foreign countries such as misogyny, mistreatment of LGBTs, forcing children into armies, arranged marriage, legal precepts based on Allah or some foreign higher being, wearing clothing approved by the government, and giving the best of everything only to upper classes/rulers. But for some reason the Religious Right has no problem in backhandedly weaseling their way into your and my life, by way of legal precidence with the same ideals. “When governments choose not to combat discrimination on the basis of religion and intolerance, it breeds an environment in which intolerant and violent groups are emboldened,…."

 It is not just in the Middle east. Europe is also undergoing a "Tea Party" makeover, also with a little help from Americans. “We believe — strongly — that there is a global tea party movement,” declared Steve Bannon, who took over the American conservative new media empire (Breitbart)"

Now I know why, when I was attending Sunday School classes and youth fellowship in the Southern Baptist Church, we had Bible Drills.
